Pre visit information / T&Cs

Thank you for choosing Brookefield’s to visit for your special occasion. We will do our best to make your occasion as enjoyable as possible.

Site requirements & Packages

It would be ideal to site us in the shadiest area of the site, preferably with tree cover especially if the weather is warm. We will be unable to drive onto wet unstable grass during winter months or when otherwise unsuitable.

Utilities

It is beneficial if you have water and electricity on site along with hand washing facilities, however we can provide these if necessary, at no extra cost.

Hygiene, Bio security, Health and Safety

At Brookefields we take health and safety seriously, and although our animals are vaccinated and health monitored, and in good condition, as with all livestock there is always a chance, they could carry disease pathogens/bacteria, and so it is essential to observe the following conditions.

  • Prior to our visit, children/vulnerable persons should be made aware as to not put their fingers into their mouths or hands on their face, during animal interactions. Adults, teachers, carers and responsible persons should always supervise children/vulnerable persons

  • No food or drink to be consumed during animal interactions

  • We provide suitable DEFRA approved hand soap and hand sanitisation gel/foam for everyone to use after animal interactions. Hands must be washed with soap, dried and then sanitised. Where you have no access to a sink, we will provide a portable one FREE OF CHARGE.

  • At all times children/vulnerable persons should be supervised to ensure they do not climb the fencing, or that their mouths do not encounter the railings.

  • No feeding of the animals, unless instructed to do so by the animal handlers.

  • Pregnant ladies are not to have contact with gestating sheep/goats or their lambs/kids

  • All persons are to observe the above conditions and behave appropriately and as advised by our animal handlers. Failure to observe the above conditions could result in the exhibition being cancelled, due to H & S and animal welfare.
